ADF 2009 Approvals by Sector
Cumulative approvals in 2009 stood at UA 2.16 billion. After infrastructure (63.8 %), the next largest recipient of ADF approvals was multisector, which received UA 530.5 million, equivalent to 24.5 percent of total approvals. With regard to the other sectors, agriculture and rural development was allocated 7.1 percent, followed by social sector with 2.6 percent, and environment with 2.0 percent.

Cumulative ADF Approvals by Sector, 1974-2009
ADF cumulative approvals for the period 1974-2009 totaled UA 21.30 billion, comprising 1,438 loans and 809 grants. The main sector recipient of these cumulative loans and grants was infrastructure (38.6%), followed by agriculture and rural development (21.7%), multisector (19.5%) and social sector (16.9%).

Sectoral distribution of ADF resources from ADF-8 cycle to ADF-11 cycle shows that infrastructure has the largest share of cumulative approvals. Infrastructure was allocated more than one fourth of ADF resources since ADF-8 replenishment, followed by multisector, and agriculture and rural development.

ADF Disbursement, 2009
Disbursements of loans and grants on ADF operations increased from UA 1.13 billion in 2008 to UA 1.73 billion, representing an increase of 53.1 percent. As at December 31, 2009, cumulative disbursements on loans and grants amounted to UA 13.61 billion. A total of 1,583 loans and grants were fully disbursed for an amount of UA 10.67 billion, representing 78.4 percent of cumulative disbursements.
