Hiroyuki Kiyota

HIROYUKI KIYOTA is a doctoral candidate of the Graduate School for International Cooperation Studies, Takushoku University, Tokyo, while he also holds master’s degrees in economics and international development from Boston University, USA and from Takushoku University, respectively. He worked for the Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI) as a Research Associate of research director from 2007 to 2009. He was also a Summer Intern at the Development Research Department of the African Development Bank (AfDB); Visiting Research Fellow at the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Tokyo and Tutor of Economics at the Open University of British Columbia (OUBC), Japan; and Research Intern at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), Austria.

His main research interests include development macroeconomics, banking sector, bank efficiency, monetary policy and financial market, trade and investment, capital flows and economic growth with a focus on the African development as well as Asian one.
