This year's African Development Bank Annual Meetings will take place from Monday, May 23 to Friday, May 27, 2016 at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre in Lusaka, Zambia. The 51st Annual Meetings for the African Development Bank and the 42nd meetings of its soft loan affiliate, the African Development Fund (ADF), will focus on the theme "Energy and Climate Change", and draws on one of the Bank's "High 5" priority areas, namely to "Light up and Power Africa". It also reflects the Bank's New Deal on Energy and the key resolutions from the recent UN climate talks (COP21) on global warming. The event, where key decisions about the Bank Group are made each year, is attended by Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors from the Bank's 54 regional member countries (RMCs) and 26 non-regional member countries, and attracts more than 4,500 delegates representing multilateral finance institutions, development agencies, the private sector, non-governmental organizations, civil society and the media.
