Dr. Mufuruki is former Director, Chairman of Remuneration Committee, Member of Editorial Committee and Member of Finance & Audit Committee, of the Nation Media Group. He also serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Infotech Investment Group Ltd. He also serves as Chairman of Board of Directors of Mwananchi Communications Ltd, Director of TechnoServe, Inc., Trustee of Social Action Trust Fund and Director of the Bank of Tanzania. He serves as the Chairman of the Africa Leadership Initiative (ALI), East Africa. He is a member of the East Africa Regional Advisory Panel of Actis and is a member of the Presidential Investors Roundtable (PIRT) and a Henry Crown Fellow of the Aspen Institute (Co. USA) class of 2001.
