Simpiwe Kenneth Tshabalala

Mr. Simpiwe Tshabalala is Group Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Standard Bank Group Limited and Chief Executive of Standard Bank of South Africa. Mr. Tshabalala joined Standard Bank Group in 2000 in the project finance division of SCMB. From 2001 to 2006 he was Managing Director Stanbic Africa, and from 2003 he served concurrently as deputy Chief Executive of Personal & Business Banking. He was appointed Chief Executive of Personal & Business Banking in 2006, and in June 2008 became Chief Executive of The Standard Bank of South Africa. In 2009, Mr. Tshabalala was appointed Deputy Chief Executive of Standard Bank Group. He currently also serves on the board of The Standard Bank of South Africa as well as the Banking Association of South Africa.
