If you are a first-time user of our online registration system, please register yourself and respond to all questions, especially those marked with asterisks.

In order to properly process your application for consideration, please attach the most current curriculum vitae that contains your correct contact details along with a transcript from your Master’s degree(s). It is advisable to provide more than one e-mail address; also your complete telephone number including country code and area/city code.

Kindly be reminded that the YPP selection process is highly competitive, you should therefore provide as much information as possible on your online form.   

If you have dual nationality, please be advised that the Bank recognizes only one nationality from a member country; as such kindly indicate the nationality which you wish to be considered. If you succeed in the selection process you will then be appointed as a YP under this nationality for the duration of the Program and your contract.  

Due to the competitiveness of this program, the Bank will not accept any application submissions after the closing date of the Vacancy Announcement. In 2011, the Bank received well over 10,000 applications from potential candidates. Due to the volume of responses we receive, you may only receive an electronic confirmation of receipt. If you do not get a more formal correspondence from the Bank by June 2012, it will be a reasonable conclusion that you are not being considered for the 2012 program. Please do not contact the Bank or staff members to enquire about the status of your application.  

Offer of employment

For the 2012 program, all selected candidates are expected to report for duty in November 2012. The selected candidates must write in acceptance of the offer of appointment within two weeks of notification by email. Confirmation of appointment is subject to a satisfactory medical examination, verification of relevant educational and professional certificates, verification of academic and professional references and production of a valid certificate or other proof of nationality. Offers of appointment are only valid for the current recruitment year. They will not be deferred to the following year.
