05/08/2013 - Rwanda has been an economic success and has maintained a strong growth path averaging 8% per year over the last decade. Rwanda has made remarkable progresses on the Millennium Development Goals, particularly in areas of health, and in lifting one million people out of poverty (MDG 4, 5, 6).

08/05/2012 - Since 2006 the African Development Bank has been supporting the Rwanda government in restoring and improving the Rwandan fisheries sector. Support has been given to both capture fisheries in inland lakes and to aquaculture.

01/04/2010 - Built in 1997, the Kigali Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) is the first technological institute to be built in Rwanda to train students in science, technology and engineering at the degree and diploma levels. KIST also transfers appropriate technology to the community.
