Zambia: Junior Secondary Education Project (3.3 MB)
Abstract: This Project Performance Audit Report (RPM) examines the Junior Secondary Education Project in Zambia An ADF loan of UA 8.289Jmillion (Loan Number CS/Z/ED/82/6) was approved on 27 August 1982 and signed oft 29 December 1982 The loan was to finance 100% of the foreign exchange cost and 61%of the local cost, or 85% of the total cost of the project The Government of the Republic of Zambia (GRZ) was to contribute a total of UA 1.412 million. The executing agency was the Zambia Education project implementation Unit (ZEPIU) in the Ministry of Education.

Zimbabwe: First Line of Credit to Zimbabwe Development Bank (1.7 MB)
Abstract: This Intermediate Project Performance Audit Report (IPPAR) covers the first line of credit to Zimbabwe Development Bank (ZDB). The line of credit of UA 10.0 million was approved on 15 February 1990 and the loan agreement was signed on 31 May 1990. About 80 per cent of the approved amount was committed and fully disbursed within two years and the undisbursed amount was eventually cancelled. The relevant Project Completion Report was completed in June 1994.

Lesotho: Road Maintenance Project (3.0 MB)
Abstract: The present project performance audit report concerns the Road Maintenance Project in Lesotho, for which an ADF loan of UA 8.06 million was approved in December, 1983. The loan agreement was signed in August 1984 and the loan became effective in November 1984. The project was part of the World Bank’s Fourth Highway Project for which an IDA credit of US$ 15.2 million was approved in May 1984.

Zambia: Third and Fourth Lines of Credit to Development Bank of Zambia (1.8 MB)
Abstract: This Project Performance Audit Report (PPAR) covers the third and fourth lines of credit to Development Bank of Zambia (DBZ). The third line of credit of UA 10 million was approved on 16 March 1982, the related loan agreement signed on 05 May 1982, and its disbursement was completed in May 1989. As regards the fourth line of credit of UA 15 million, approval and loan signature were on 25 June, 1987 and 30 September, 1987 respectively while disbursement was completed in February 1992. A Project Completion Report covering both lines of credit was completed in March 1994.

Madagascar: Emergency Aid Programme - Road Component (Ambohimasoa Mananjary: RN25) (2.8 MB)
Abstract: This report aims at carrying out an in-depth project performance audit of the road component of an emergency aid programme for the repair of the damage caused b the passage three cyclones between 1981 and February 1982. The Bank approved on 7 September 1982, an ADF loan of UA 10.75 for the financing of the programme, of which U 64.6 million was earmarked for’ the road component and UA 4.29 million for that of gricuI4re. The agreement was signed on 22 September 1982 and became effective on 13 January 11983.

Tunisia: Railway Network Improvement in Sfax Region (839 KB)
Abstract: This abbreviated project performance audit report (PPAR) concerns the Railway Network Improvement Project in Sfax Region. The project, the total cost of which was estimated at UA 22.86 million, was identified and prepared by the SNCFT, and appraised by the Bank in February 1983. Its financing via a UA 11 million loan was approved in June 1984. The loan became effective sixteen months later, and the project was completed on 30 June 1993, eight years behind schedule.
