Abstract: This Programme Performance Audit Report (PPAR) concerns the Financial Sector Adjustment Programme (FISAP) of Côte d'Ivoire for which the African Development Bank (ADB) granted a loan of UA 50.0 million in March 1992.

Abstract: The present abridged project performance audit report PPAR deals with the first road programme (PRI) in Cote d’Ivoire for which ADB loan N° CS/CI/TR/85/013 of UA 56.20 million was approved in August 1985. The PRI forms part of second sectoral road project (PSR 2), which aimed at improving: (i) planning in the roads sub sector (ii) road maintenance and (iii) the efficiency of the road transport industry. More specifically the PRI was to (i) ensure improved service in the most productive farming areas or areas with great agricultural potentialities through the construction of high traffic interdepartmental highway (ii) pursuing the policy of opening up to neighboring countries especially landlocked countries through the construction of permanent roads which will enhance economic cooperation within the region
