Projects Performance Evaluation Report

Abstract: The Kiliba Sugar Complex Rehabilitation and Extension project was included in the 1986-1990 Five-Year Economic and Social Development Plan which aimed at: (i) the achievement of food self-sufficiency., (ii) the production of raw materials for industry, and (iii) the development of export products with a view to improving the trade balance. It was. designed on the basis of feasibility studies carried out in January 1981 and updated in 1983 following the meeting of donors in Paris in June 1982 in order to boost Zaire’s agriculture. Since the Bank attended this meeting, it contributed to the redefinition of the components and updating of project cost. At the request of the Conseil exécutif, the Bank undertook a mission to Zaire in February/March 1983 to appraise the project.

Abstract: This is a project performance audit report (PPAR) of the water supply project in five center and the water resources study in eight other centers in Zaire for which the bank group granted in Jun 1980 granted two loans one of FUA 6.955 200 from ADF resources for the water supply component and one of FUA 1.8494 from TAA recourses for the water resources study.

Abstract: The present performance audit report deals with the ADB Line of Credit I SOTIDE,/ZR/IND/78/007 of BUA 5 million and the ADB Line of Credit II SOTIDE/ZR/IND/81/11 of BUA 10 million respectively granted on 21 November 1978 and 24 August 1981 to the "Société Financière de Développement" (SOFIDE) of the Republic of Zaire.

Abstract: This post evaluation report concerns the N'Djili water supply project for which a 10 an (No.CS/ZR/SP/77/005) approved on 21/10/77 for an amount of BUA 5'000,000,000 was granted to the Executive council of Zaire. The project Executing Agency was REGIDESO, a public (industrial and commercial) enterprise the project was co-financed with the European Development Fund (EDF) those contribution was BUA 5.000.00
