Abstract: This Project Performance Audit Report (RPM) examines the Junior Secondary Education Project in Zambia An ADF loan of UA 8.289Jmillion (Loan Number CS/Z/ED/82/6) was approved on 27 August 1982 and signed oft 29 December 1982 The loan was to finance 100% of the foreign exchange cost and 61%of the local cost, or 85% of the total cost of the project The Government of the Republic of Zambia (GRZ) was to contribute a total of UA 1.412 million. The executing agency was the Zambia Education project implementation Unit (ZEPIU) in the Ministry of Education.

Abstract: This Programme Performance Audit Report (PPAR) reviews the Economic Recovery Programme (1991-93) for which an ADF loan of UA 18 42 million (loan number N/ZAM/ECRSAP/91/24) was approved on 18 June 1991 The programme was financed by other donors for a total sum of US$ 303 344 million The Borrower was GRZ and the Executing Agency was MOF, while the management of loan proceeds was vested in the BOZ The planned and actual contribution of ADF was UA 18 42 million which was disbursed in two tranches The loan agreement became effective on 28th August 1991’ and disbursements were completed by May 1992.

Abstract: Kafue Gorge Power Station (KGPS), 6 x 150 MW installed capacity represents 56 % of total power installed capacity (1600 MW) of Zambia Electricity Supply Corporation (ZESCO). It was disabled by fire on 26th March 1989 and available capacity in the country was reduced to only 700 MW. This originated losses of foreign exchange revenues from electricity sales to Zimbabwe and power outages for industrial and domestic economic activities. Zambia, formerly power exporter was obliged to import electricity from neighboring Zaire and Zimbabwe.

Abstract: This Project Performance Audit Report (PPAR) reviews the Maamba Collieries Ltd rehabilitation programme (in the following called the project) in the Republic of Zambia.
