AML/CFT Regime for the Precious Metals and Stones Sector: Understanding the International Standards and Applying National Strategies

This workshop is designed for government officials from the financial intelligence unit (FIU), customs, ministry of mining and ministry of finance (in particular, tax authorities) of countries which are producers and traders in precious stones and metals.

Attendance is by invitation only. Prerequisites are specified in invitation letters. Candidates will be vetted by the IMF’s Legal Department before registration.

Project Implementation Training

Eminent Speakers Seminar

The eminent speakers program is intended to provide opportunities for the African development Bank staff and the Board of Directors to interact with distinguished personalities on African development issues.
The program constitute a platform on which African leaders and world renowned persons can share their views on daunting development challenges facing the continent. While providing opportunities for Bank staff to interact with distinguished thought leaders, eminent personalities can set out, through the program, their visions that may inspire current and future African leaders.

Project Improvement Planning

The workshop targets mainly four categories of participants:  The Projects National Coordinators and the Implementation Units staff, the ADB Task Managers from the Headquarters and the Country Office, Ministries’ Officials whose action or inaction can impact on the projects progress, other stakeholders such as beneficiaries, consultants or contractors.  
Participants must be currently involved in one of the selected projects, either as a direct staff, consultant or contractor, or as a supervisor from the sector Ministry.  Alternatively, s (he) may also represent the beneficiaries.
