13/07/2016 - The African Development Bank (AfDB) and the African Securities Exchanges Association (ASEA) have signed, on Monday 11 July 2016, a five-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to amplify the impact of their strategically aligned joint efforts to promote resources mobilization to fund Africa’s economic growth. This MoU will provide a collaborative framework for harmonizing and coordinating the efforts of AfDB, Africa’s premier development finance institution, and ASEA, the apex body of African stock exchanges, towards deepening and connecting African financial markets.
31/05/2013 - The issues linked to the use of country systems in the domain of procurement procedures have occupied an important place in exchanges between Morocco and the African Development Bank Group (AfDB) in Marrakesh, Morocco. On the sidelines of the Annual Meetings proceedings, the two partners signed on May 31 an agreement protocol for the use of Moroccan procedures for procurement in the context of the implementation of projects financed by the AfDB.
31/05/2013 - The African Development Bank (AfDB) and the Government of the Republic of Korea, on Thursday, May 30, signed the general cooperation agreement (GCA) that will make it possible for Korea to contribute to special funds and multi-donor funds as well.
26/05/2010 - Earlier today 8 development finance institutions, who last year invested over USD 8.8 billion in projects across the continent, formally launched the African Financing Partnership (AFP). This collaboration will enable greater cooperation and co-financing, and work towards improving joint assessment and evaluation of private sector projects across the continent. This marks a significant development for effective use of donor resources in Africa and aim to attract greater private sector investment for private sector projects on the continent with strong development outcomes.
28/01/2010 - “The African Financing Partnership (AFP) is a major pillar in the partnership strategy of African Development Bank… In 2009, DFIs worked collaboratively on projects in Africa, to jointly finance over US$ 1 billion in projects under a partnership model. This year, the target for collaborative co-financing is manifold, including financing projects in sectors such as infrastructure, power, renewable energy and agribusiness”, AfDB President, Donald Kaberuka, said, on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 in Tunis, as he signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the African Financing Partnership (AFP).
