21/05/2013 - The African Development Bank Group (AfDB) will host a workshop on infrastructure and diaspora bonds in Africa during AfDB’s annual meetings in Morocco on May 29, 2013. One of the main objectives of the seminar to be at held at the Palmeraie Golf Palace in Marrakech, themed “Financing African Structural Change - Infrastructure and Diaspora Bonds” is to raise awareness of all stakeholders in the role that infrastructure and diaspora bonds can play in catalyzing financing to address the existing infrastructure gap in Africa.

21/05/2013 - Under the co-sponsorship of the African Development Institute (ADI) of the African Development Bank (AfDB) and the Korea-Africa Economic Cooperation (KOAFEC), the Association for the Development of Education in Africa (ADEA) announced the winners and presented eight awards to African scholars and research institutions that have published distinctive research in the field of education. The award ceremony was held on Tuesday May 14, 2013.

20/05/2013 - Marrakech, samedi 16 mars 2013, 9h20 du matin. C’est le calme plat à la gare de Marrakech. Même les panneaux indicateurs, où s’affichent les nombreuses destinations au départ et à l’arrivée du terminus, semblent au repos. Mais, moins d’une heure plus tard, les lieux sont arrachés à leur douce léthargie, avec l’entrée en gare d’un train et son flot de passagers qui se déverse sur les quais.

20/05/2013 - The Electricity Authority of Benin–Nigerian Electric Power Authority power interconnection project, jointly financed by the African Development Bank, the West African Development Bank, and the Economic Community of West African States, is one of the sparkling flagship projects for regional integration and cooperation in West Africa. Financed under the West Africa Power Pool program, the project connects Benin’s power grid (CEB) to that of Nigeria (NEPA). Since its completion in 2007, like a beacon, the project has broken dawn, lighting up vast areas of rural communities that were once in economic darkness.
