Gender on the Agenda in Dakar

African Ministers in charge of Women’s Affairs and Gender are meeting in Dakar to discuss implementation of the African Union declaration on the promotion of gender in Africa.

The African Development Bank Group Resident Representative in Dakar Mohamed H’Midouche is attending the week-long meeting which is organized by the government of Senegal with support from the African Union, the Economic Commission for Africa and the Bank.

Senegal’s Minister Aida M’Bodje, referring to the ADB as "the preferred Bank", thanked the institution for its financial and technical support, especially for its interpretation support.
