Ist African Development Bank's Water Week

The Water Week aimed at engaging the stakeholders and partners in the African water sector, consolidating existing partnerships and creating new ones, as well as galvanizing broad support from both stakeholders and the wider international community to advance African water resources development and management. It was during the Water Week that the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Initiative (RWSSI) and the African Water Facility (AWF) were officially launched. The Bank's NEPAD Unit presented, during the Week, the activities in Infrastructure Development under NEPAD's Short Term Action Plan, focusing on Water and Sanitation initiatives.
