The seminar was sponsored by the Telecom Regulatory Agency, Shell, ASECNA, ISI and organised in the CESAG Auditorium in Dakar. The Bank's Regional Resident Representative presented the role of the Bank in NEPAD's Vision.

The seminar offered an opportunity for a rich debate on NEPAD's stakes, its Short Term Action Plan, the role of ADB and the NEPAD Secretariat based in South Africa, the effective implementation of NEPAD's projects and programmes, the ownership of NEPAD by African countries and the use of financial resources pledged by donor countries such as Japan and India.
