Nigeria Country Office receives IsDB Team

The African Development Bank Group Resident Representant in Nigeria, Mr. Zondo Sakala, on Wednesday in Abuja, received nine-man technical advance team from the Islamic Development Bank led by Mr. Abderrahman El Glaoui, the Acting Director of Country Operations Department.

The team arrived in Nigeria ahead of a three-day official visit of the President of the IsDB, Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Ali, beginning on Thursday following the country’s recent accession to membership of the Bank.

The visitors, accompanied by officials from the Nigerian finance ministry and NGCO staff, discussed the ADB’s long and fruitful relationship with Nigeria, the country’s reform programme and the Bank’s strategy.

They also explored possible areas of partnership in support of Nigeria’s development agenda as outlined in the National Economic and Development Strategy (NEEDS).
