President Boni Yayi in Tunis - AfDB reaffirms its support to Benin

The AfDB has responded positively, Friday, September 11, 2009 in Tunis, to a call for support from the Republic of Benin to enable the country to meet the development challenges posed by the global economic crisis.

Welcoming President Boni Yayi and his delegation, President Donald Kaberuka said that Benin can count on the support of the Bank Group. This support is especially necessary, it must consolidate the recent gains made in infrastructure development in particular and economic growth in general, and prevent them from being ruined by the impact of the crisis global economic, he said.
