04/12/2013 - The Boards of the African Development Bank (AfDB) on Wednesday, December 4 approved a cumulative US $4.89 billion (UA 3.188 billion) for the 2014 Borrowing Program of the AfDB Group, which includes US $199.58 million (UA 130 million) for possible draw down under the loan component of the Enhanced Private Sector Assistance (EPSA) Initiative for Africa.

03/05/2013 - During a working visit to the African Development Bank (AfDB) in Tunis on 3rd May 2013 , Nizar Baraka, Moroccan Minister of Finance, and Chairman of the AfDB Board of Governors, welcomed the support of the Bank to his country’s quest for green growth. In his words, the AfDB is the country’s leading partner. «The Institution works hand in hand with us and is the driving force of our economy towards green growth,» he said.

07/03/2013 - The African Development Bank Group invites Regional Member Countries and donors to support the Africa fertilizer financing mechanism (AFFM) financially to enable the mechanism to be legally operational as well as support its investment activities,” the Bank’s Sector Operations Vice-President Aly Abou-Sabaa told ministers and experts, on March 6,in Tunis at the 2nd Governing Council Meeting of the AFFM. The meeting was chaired by the African Union Commissioner for Rural Economy and Agriculture and Chairperson of the AFFM Governing Council, Rhoda Peace Tumusiime.

11/10/2012 - The Governors Consultative Committee (GCC) of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group today in Tokyo, Japan, endorsed the transmission of the road map for the Bank’s return to its headquarters in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, to the Board of Governors for consideration during the AfDB’s Annual Meetings to be held in Marrakech, Morocco, in May 2013.
