23/04/2009 - The Board of Directors of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group has approved Burundi’s qualification for a debt relief of US$ 150.2 million as at end 2004 Net Present Value (About US$ 241.70 million), after it reached completion point under the Enhanced Highly Indebted Poor Countries (HIPC) Initiative.

18/03/2009 - A round-table on the Tanzania-Rwanda-Burundi Railway project that started on Monday, March 16, 2009, continued on Tuesday in Tunis with deliberations split in three sessions. The first session was devoted to communication and the exchange of views. Discussions during the session focused on the presentation of financial reports, financing options and achievements.
