23/11/2011 - At its 41st Council Meeting held in Washington, D.C. on 9 and10 November 2011, the Global Environment Facility (GEF) approved a grant of USD 20.5 million for the Lake Chad Basin Regional Program for the Conservation and Sustainable Use of Natural Resources and Energy Efficiency.

28/04/2011 - The Board of Directors of the African Development Bank (AfDB) today approved its 2011-2015 Regional Strategy for Central Africa. The strategy is designed to reduce poverty through infrastructure development as well as institutional and human capacity building.

03/03/2011 - The African Development Bank (AfDB) Group and the Central African Republic signed on 25 February 2011 in Bangui, a UA 4.5-million (FCFA 3.56 billion) budget support grant agreement to enable the country build capacity in economic and financial management.

24/01/2011 - Le Groupe de la Banque africaine de développement (BAD), a reçu, ce vendredi 14 janvier 2011 à Tunis, le ministre du plan, de l’économie et de la coopération internationale de la République Centrafricaine et gouverneur de la Banque, Sylvain Maliko. Le gouverneur a été reçu par le Président de la BAD, Donald Kaberuka, avec qui il a passé en revue plusieurs questions liées au développement économique et à l’intégration de l’Afrique et de la sous-région d’Afrique centrale. Profitant de cette « première visite qu’il effectue à la BAD en 2011», M. Maliko a paraphé l’étude multinationale Congo-Centrafrique-Tchad-RDC, concernant la route Ouésso-Bangui-N’Djaména et la Navigation fluviale sur le Congo, l’Oubangui et la Sangha.

11/02/2010 - The Fund for African Private Sector Assistance (FAPA) is a component of the Enhanced Private Sector Assistance Initiative (EPSA), a billion-dollar joint initiative of Japan and the AfDB to promote private sector development in Africa. The FAPA trust fund provides untied grants for studies, technical assistance and capacity building for private sector projects and African institutions.

08/01/2010 - Le Groupe de la Banque et la République Centrafricaine ont signé, le 21 décembre 2009 à Tunis, un protocole de don concernant le projet d’appui à la réhabilitation d’infrastructures rurales (PARIR). D’un montant total de 3.85 millions d’unité de compte (UC), le don vise à augmenter la disponibilité des productions agricoles dans le pays, à travers la réhabilitation des infrastructures rurale et le renforcement des capacités des partenaires.

06/11/2009 - The International Conference on the Great Lakes Region (ICGLR) ended on Friday, November 6, 2009, in Bujumbura, Burundi. The closing ceremony was presided over by the Burundian President, Pierre Nkurunziza, and Zambian President, Rupiah Banda, who is also the ICGLR’s current chairperson. Speaking during the conference, Bank Group President, Donald Kaberuka, reaffirmed his institution’s support to the Great Lakes region, recalling that the Bank Group was a co-organizer of the roundtable.

05/11/2009 - The African Development Bank (AfDB) Group President, Donald Kaberuka, has reaffirmed AfDB support to the Great Lakes Region and the region’s eleven countries at the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region (ICGLR) taking place in Bujumbura, Burundi, where the AfDB is attending as a member of the conference and a bilateral partner.
