10/12/2013 - A new publication, Financial Inclusion in Africa, released on Monday, December 9 by the Complex of the Chief Economist of the African Development Bank (AfDB) finds that for sustained and inclusive development to thrive, a great deal of innovation is needed to ensure that appropriate financial services and instruments are put in place for the benefit of the poor and other vulnerable groups in Africa.
10/12/2013 - From December 9 to 11, Tunis is hosting the First African Ministerial Forum on ICT Integration in Education and Training. The aim of this initiative is to help African Education Ministers to introduce effective, relevant policies integrating information and communication technology (ICT) that will drive and strategically accelerate the transformation of their education and training systems. These systems must become powerful instruments for producing the human capital that Africa needs for its sustainable development.

09/12/2013 - Over the last two decades, wildlife crime has developed into a multi-billion-dollar industry and is now considered to be the fifth largest international criminal activity after narcotics, counterfeiting, illicit trafficking of humans and oil. In September 2012, the African Development Bank attended the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) World Conservation Congress in Korea that called for a high-level meeting on African elephants.
