09/06/2011 - The African Development Bank (AfDB) Group on Wednesday in Lisbon signed two major cooperation agreements with China and Brazil for the funding of projects and programs in the AfDB´s regional member countries (RMCs).
11/05/2011 - The Report, titled, “The BRICs in North Africa: Changing the Name of the Game?” says the group, which comprised Brazil, Russia, India and China during the time covered by the report (South Africa joined in 2011) is drawn to the region due to a growing need for raw materials and minerals; an amenable investment and regulatory climate; its relatively large population and overall GDP; low production and labour costs, and geographical proximity to European and Middle East markets.

20/12/2010 - The African Development Bank Group on Thursday, December 16, 2010 in Tunis received a delegation from the Export-Import Bank of China (Eximbank). The delegation, led by its Executive Vice President, Liu Liange, also comprised the General Manager, Legal Department, Li Jian, and Assistant President, Liu Yang.

09/02/2010 - Donald Kaberuka, president of the African Development Bank (AfDB), has just returned from a visit to China whose principal aim was how to strengthen cooperation between the Bank and China. During the three-day visit between 3 and 6 February 2010, he and his Chinese hosts shared their views on the ways and means of improving that cooperation. The Bank’s president visited Beijing as well as Shengzhu,China’s centre for new technology.

08/02/2010 - On 6 February 2010, President Kaberuka concluded a three-day official mission to the People’s Republic of China. The President visited the southern City of Shenzhen, home to two famous ICT firms, and also major investors in Africa's IT sector, Huawei and ZTE. The President also held consultations with both firms' senior management.

04/02/2010 - The African Development Bank (AfDB) Group President, Donald Kaberuka, started his three-day official visit to the People’s Republic of China on Thursday, February 4, 2010. A meeting with Mr. Wang Qishan, Vice Premier, responsible for economic, energy and financial matters, was the highlight of the visit.

02/02/2010 - Africa’s Relations with China will benefit immensely from the 3-6 February 2010 African Development Bank (AfDB) Group’s high-level visit to the country. The visit, led by the Bank Group’s President, Donald Kaberuka at the invitation of China's Central Bank Governor, Zhou Xiaochuan, will provide both sides the opportunity to share experiences on key development issues.

The African Development Bank (AfDB) Group President, Donald Kaberuka, is on an official visit to China from February 3-6, 2010. In Beijing, Mr. Kaberuka met with Chinese political authorities and the country’s highest financial authorities such as the China Central Bank Governor and leaders of the Export-Import Bank of China (Exim Bank). He also visited Shenzhen City, the capital of new technology development in southern China.
