10/07/2009 - La vice-présidente de la Banque africaine de développement (BAD), chargée des Opérations sectorielles, Zeinab El-Bakri, a souhaité mercredi, 8 juillet 2009, lors de la clôture de la conférence mondiale sur l’enseignement supérieur, une meilleure harmonisation de l’aide internationale accordée à ce secteur sur le continent africain.
07/07/2009 - La vice-présidente de la Banque africaine de développement (BAD), chargée des Opération sectorielles, Zeinab El-Bakri, a vivement exhorté, à Paris, les Etats africains à concevoir et mettre en œuvre, avec l’aide des bailleurs de fonds, un enseignement supérieur capable de contribuer à la réduction de la pauvreté en Afrique.
03/07/2009 - The AfDB will attend the World Conference on Higher Education (WCHE). Organized by UNESCO, the event will take place from 5 – 8 July 2009 in Paris and the AfDB will be represented by an education experts’ team led by Vice President, Zeinab El-Bakri.

The World Conference on Higher Education, organized by UNESCO, will take stock of changes in higher education since the World Conference on Higher Education of 1998 and will deal with the new dynamics that are likely to shape the strategic agenda for the development of higher education policies and institutions in the foreseeable future.
12/05/2009 - The AfDB and Morocco on Friday, May 8, 2009, in Rabat, signed two loan agreements, one guarantee agreement and one grant agreement for three different operations in education, transport and water management sectors. The agreements are worth €317 million, €75 million of which is for the National Education Emergency Programme, € 240 million to finance the Third Airport Project and € 1.892 million grant resources from the African Water Facility to finance the Haouz Water Table Artificial Rehabilitation Pilot Project from the Ghmat water table.

31/03/2009 - The AfDB Group will support Morocco’s efforts to revamp its education system with a €75 Million loan approved by the institution’s Board of Directors on Wednesday, 31 March 2009, in Tunis.
18/03/2009 - The African Development Bank (AfDB) Group has re-affirmed its support to the development of science and technology education in Africa with the approval of a grant of 12 million Units of Account (UA*), equivalent to US$ 17.60, million to finance a Network of African Institutions of Science and Technology Project in the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

13/03/2009 - The Bank Group and Rwanda on March 7, 2009, in Kigali, signed protocol agreements for two grants amounting to US$ 17.2 million to support the second phase of a Science and Technology for Skills Development and Competitiveness and Enterprise Development Projects in the country.
23/02/2009 - The Bank Group and Kenya on February 18, 2009, signed two loan agreements worth UA 42 Million for the Community Empowerment and Institutional Support Project (CEISP) and the Technical, Industrial, Vocational and Entrepreneurship Training (TIVET) Programme.
