26/10/2011 - L’économiste en chef et vice-président de la Banque africaine de développement (BAD), Mthuli Ncube, a précisé le 25 octobre à Addis-Abeba les sources de financement de l’économie verte de l’Afrique. Le financement pourrait provenir de l’aide publique au développement (50 milliards de dollars), du continent lui-même à travers les emprunts internationaux (400 milliards de dollars), de la diaspora africaine (40 milliards) ainsi que des marchés des capitaux, des excédents budgétaires de l’Inde et de la Chine, et du futur fonds vert pour l’Afrique.

08/09/2011 - African leaders from fragile and conflict-affected countries called for a reassessment of the Millennium Development Goals and new approaches to development in Africa during a regional meeting on peace- and statebuilding organized by the African Development Bank, UN Economic Commission for Africa and the African Union Commission in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia from 7-9 September 2011. Their aim was to shape the agenda for the Fourth High Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness in Busan, Korea in November 2011.
