The African Development Bank (AfDB) Group is organizing a High Level Policy Dialogue Seminar on Youth Employment in Africa in Lusaka, Zambia, which will focus on the challenges and opportunities faced by the following countries in the Southern Africa region: Angola, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique and Zambia.

An important AfDB delegation, led by the institution’s President, Donald Kaberuka, will attend a round table conference on the implementation of the Pact on Security, Stability and Development in the Great Lakes region scheduled to take place in the Burundian capital, Bujumbura, from 5- and 6 November, 2009.

Zambia’s Finance and National Planning Minister, Honorable Dr. Situmbeko Musokotwane has commended the African Development Bank for its continued effort of updating African Governments about economic social development progress on the continent. He said this in a speech read on his behalf by his Deputy, Hon. Chileshe Kapwepwe at the launch of the 2009 African Economic Outlook (AEO) and the 2009 Africa Competitiveness Reports in Lusaka, Zambia.
