The AfDB is Sponsoring a multi-stakeholder conference in Nairobi Kenya on the 18th and 19th of April 2012. Hosted by the Government of Kenya, in collaboration with Anadach Consulting Group and Tele-Health Society of Kenya, the conference will identify best practices and lessons learned from previous experiences of developing national eHealth strategies. One of the first of its kind in Africa, the event will also focus on integrating mHealth into eHealth strategy implementation.

The African Development Bank (AfDB) will be hosting, 1-5 December 2009 in Tunis, the 4th Annual Meeting of the Harmonization for Health in Africa (HHA) initiative. What is exceptional about this year’s meeting is that it will convene a special two-day session involving Permanent Secretaries from Ministries in charge of Finance and Health from over a dozen African countries to deliberate on the Investment Case for Health Expenditures in Africa and to explore strategies to enhance coordination between these ministries.

A Microsoft delegation on Tuesday, September 15, 2009, concluded a two-day working visit to the Bank Group. The visit served as an opportunity for both parties to agree on concrete areas of cooperation on ICT in the fields of health, education, public administration and governance. Countries targeted include Nigeria, Senegal, Angola and Kenya.
