21/03/2012 - The African Development Bank (AfDB) will host the Friends of Zimbabwe Roundtable, to discuss economic and political developments in the country on 23 March. The meeting will also focus on the prospects of dealing with the country's external debt arreears. The presentation of the Zimbabwe Accelerated Arrears, Debt and Development Strategy (ZAADDS) is a useful framework to address the issue of Zimbabwe’s external debt. ZAADDS is a key element of the government’s economic reform agenda.

05/02/2010 - The AfDB Zambia Country Office Resident Representative, Freddie Kwesiga, joined by the Ambassador of Finland to Zambia, Mrs. Antila Sinikka and Mr. Abednego Banda, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperative, on Tuesday 26 January 2010, toured two sites of past and on-going Bank funded Irrigation Projects in Mazabuka in southern Zambia.

21/10/2009 - Speaking on Tuesday, October 20, 2009, in Helsinki, Finland, within the framework of the eleventh replenishment of the African Development Fund’s (ADF-11) mid-term review, the African Development Bank (AfDB) President, Donald Kaberuka, said the review came at a very critical time for the African continent, pointing out that what began as a financial crisis at the global economy’s epicenter had translated into an economic crisis for many countries on the continent.
