05/02/2013 - The African Development Bank (AfDB) signed on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 an agreement to provide two sovereign-guaranteed multi-tranche lines of credit (LoCs) of respectively US $500 million to Bank of Industry (BOI) and of US $200 million to Nigerian Export-Import Bank (NEXIM) in order to support the modernization and expansion of export-oriented small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The LoCs will allow local SMEs to be more competitive, scale up their operations and ultimately create more jobs in Nigeria.

13/05/2009 - Dr. Mandla S.V. Gantsho, Vice President in charge of Infrastructure, Private Sector and Regional Integration of the African Development Bank Group (AfDB) and Dr. Ersatus Akingbola, CEO of Intercontinental Bank Plc.(ICB) signed today a loan agreement for a Line of Credit (LoC) of USD 100 million to support the Intercontinental Bank Plc. of Nigeria to finance small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs).

19/05/2005 - Abuja, 19 May 2005 – On the fringes of the AfDB Group Annual Meetings 2005 in Nigeria, the Acting Vice President for the West and Central operations of the ADB Group, Mr. Jaouad Mohammed Gharbi, signed in Abuja a grant agreement for the amount of 330,000 Units of accounts (UA*), equivalent to US$ 500.000, for each of the benefiting countries, in the framework of the Multinational Polio Eradication Program covering Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Niger and Chad.
