05/12/2012 - The Board of Directors of the African Development Bank, on November 21, approved the Uganda Support to Higher Education, Science and Technology Project, a key Human Development operation that will contribute to the economic and social transformation of Uganda and the East African sub-region. In line with Uganda’s National Development Plan for 2011-2015, the project aims to turn the country into a regionally competitive industrial economy by 2025 by developing skills and investing in science and technology.

29/11/2012 - The African Development Bank, represented by Vice-President Ndoumbe Lobé and the Tunisian Minister for Investment and International Cooperation, Riadh Bettaieb, signed a 387.6 million euro loan agreement for the financing of the Economic Recovery and Inclusive Development Support Program (PARDI) for Tunisia. The loan was approved by the AfDB Board of Directors at its October 28 meeting.

23/11/2012 - The Board of Directors approved, on 26 September 2012, the revised Bank Group Energy Sector Policy. This policy supersedes the 1994 Bank Group Energy Sector Policy and the 1985 Framework for Public Utility Tariff Policy previously applied to Electric Power, Telecommunications, Water Supply and Sanitation operations. It is the product of broad based and transparent consultations internally within the Bank Group and externally with key stakeholders including the regional member countries (RMCs), regional economic communities (RECs), the private sector, development partners and the civil society.

19/11/2012 - Le Groupe de la Banque africaine de développement (BAD) a consenti le mercredi 14 novembre 2012 à Tunis, un prêt d’environ 17 milliards de FCFA à la République du Niger. Ce montant qui sera prélevé sur les ressources du Guichet FAD, contribuera au financement du Programme d’appui à la croissance inclusive et au renforcement de la sécurité alimentaire (PACIRSA).

19/11/2012 - The African Development Bank Group approved Wednesday a grant of 1.88 million UA (US $2.9 million) to the Republic of The Gambia to finance the Economic and Financial Governance Operation (EFIGO) – Phase 1. The funding supports the implementation of a multi-year reform program to fund The Gambia’s implementation of its development strategy Program for Accelerated Growth and Employment (PAGE).

07/11/2012 - Guinea will benefit from assistance estimated at US $639.2 million in end-December 1999 net present value terms, aimed at reducing the country’s external debt burden to sustainable levels following the country’s attainment of the completion point under the Highly Indebted Poor Countries (HIPCs) Initiative. By reaching the completion point, Guinea also benefits from additional debt cancellation under the Multilateral Debt Relief Initiative (MDRI).

07/11/2012 - The Executive Directors of the African Bank Group approved debt relief for Guinea under the Heavily Indebted Poor Countries (HIPCs) Initiative and the Multilateral Debt Relief Initiative (MDRI). The provision of debt relief assistance by the Bank Group is aimed at reducing the country’s external debt burden to sustainable levels and enhancing its capacity to direct more resources to development programs
