11/11/2011 - The Board of Directors of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group today approved a USD 71.1- million loan from African Development Fund’s resources to finance the Lom-Pangar Hydroelectric project in Cameroon. The project estimated to cost USD 419.2 million is jointly financed by five donors including the World Bank, the European Investment Bank, the Development Bank of Central African States and the French Development Agency.

19/05/2011 - The African Development Bank (AfDB) Group, the Interntional Finance Corporation (IFC)-a member of the World Bank Group), and the Netherlands Development Finance Company (FMO), are investing €66 million in the Dibamba Power Development Company to help it build an 86-megawatt powerplant that will ensure reliable electricity supply and improve energy security in Cameroon.

16/09/2010 - The Board of Directors of the African Development Fund (ADF), the concessional arm of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group, approved UA* 31.64 million (equivalent to USD 47.70 million) for the strengthening and extension of electricity networks to 423 localities in Cameroon.

01/07/2010 - The AfDB and Cameroon on June 29, 2010, in Tunis signed an UA 10 million ADF loan agreement and a UA 5 million grant agreement. The grant resources will come from the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Initiative (RWSSI). The loan and grant will help in the implementation of projects in four regions in the country – North West, West, South West and South.

25/09/2009 - The Board of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group approved today an important financial package worth USD 190 million to link up Congo and Cameroon. This funding from the African Development Fund, the concessional window of the AfDB Group, comprises a grant of 61.9 million Units of Account (USD 97 million) and a loan of UA 59.27 millions (USD 93 million).

22/02/2008 - The African Development Bank (AfDB) Group and Cameroon signed an agreement for a loan of 48 million Units of Account (UA*), equivalent to US$ 76.57 million (FCFA 36 billion) to finance the Douala-Bangui and Douala Ndjamena road corridor, linking Cameroon, the Central African Republic (CAR) and Chad.
