18/12/2012 - Le Directeur du Nepad, de l’Intégration régionale et du Commerce à la Banque africaine de développement (BAD), Alex Rugamba et le Ministre d’Etat centrafricain au Plan et à l’Economie, Abdou Karim Mékassoua, ont signé, le 17 décembre à Tunis, un protocole d’accord relatif à la première phase du projet d’interconnexion des réseaux électriques de la République centrafricaine et de la République démocratique du Congo à partir du système hydroélectrique de Boali.

To this effect, a grant for a Rural Infrastructure Development Support Project approved on 11 November 2011 in Tunis by the Board of Directors of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group, will enhance the government’s effort to improve food security and poverty reduction.

09/11/2010 - The African Legal Support Facility (ALSF) will provide a USD 500,000 grant to fund services of a reputable international law firm in connection with the dispute between the government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and a renowned vulture fund, FG Hemisphere. The ALSF Acting Director, Mamoudou Deme, revealed his institution’s support to DRC, on Tuesday, 9 November 2010 in Tunis, following the grant’s approval by the ALSF Board on 8 November 2010.

21/10/2010 - The Board of Directors of the African Development Bank (AfDB) approved on Wednesday 20 October 2010 in Tunis, a USD 15-million equity investment in Catalyst Fund, a 10-year multi-sector private equity based in Kenya primarily covering the East Africa Community (EAC) as well as DRC, Ethiopia and Zambia. The target market has a population of 280 million, with a USD 126 billion combined GDP.
