19/06/2013 - Dr. Donald Kaberuka, President of the African Development Bank (AfDB), and Prof. David Malone, Rector of United Nations University (UNU), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to foster research and knowledge exchange on sustainable development in Africa.
18/06/2013 - La Banque africaine de développement (BAD) a signé le 14 juin trois conventions de dons avec des structures bénéficiaires du Fonds de renforcement des capacités de la micro finance, pour un total de 900.000 euros. Ces dons, financés par l’Espagne, permettront aux ménages africains démunis d’accéder au financement susceptible de leur permettre d’initier des activités génératrices de revenus.

10/06/2013 - Le Groupe de la Banque africaine de développement (BAD) et la République centrafricaine (RCA) ont signé, le 31 mai 2013 à Marrakech, au Maroc, un accord de don relatif au projet d’appui aux statistiques et à la mise en œuvre du deuxième Document de stratégie de réduction de la pauvreté (DSRP), pour un total de 2,034 millions de dollars EU.
07/06/2013 - The African Development Bank (AfDB) formally signed on May 29th in Marrakech, Morocco, in the prelude of the 48th AfDB Annual Meetings, a USD 100 million unfunded Risk Participation Agreement (RPA) with Commerzbank AG under which the two banks will share the default risk on a portfolio of eligible trade transactions originated by African issuing banks in Africa and confirmed by Commerzbank AG.
06/06/2013 - The African Development Bank (AfDB) Group and the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) signed two grant agreements for a total of US $5.250 million in Marrakech on the sidelines of the AfDB Annual Meetings. Initialed by the AfDB First Vice-President, Emmanuel Mbi, and DRC’s Deputy Finance Minister, Patrice Kitebi, the two grants are intended to provide technical assistance for the development of the Inga hydro-power plant located on the banks of the Congo River. The grants fall within the framework of the Fragile States Facility (FSF).
31/05/2013 - The African Development Bank (“AfDB”) and Standard Chartered Bank (“Standard Chartered”) today signed a US$400 million Risk Participation Agreement that will provide significant trade finance support for imports and exports across vital economic sectors including agriculture and food to corporate and financial institution clients in Africa.
31/05/2013 - The issues linked to the use of country systems in the domain of procurement procedures have occupied an important place in exchanges between Morocco and the African Development Bank Group (AfDB) in Marrakesh, Morocco. On the sidelines of the Annual Meetings proceedings, the two partners signed on May 31 an agreement protocol for the use of Moroccan procedures for procurement in the context of the implementation of projects financed by the AfDB.
31/05/2013 - The African Development Bank Group (AfDB) has granted 619,869 euro to Morocco to finance the modernization of the country’s debt management framework. The donation agreement was signed on Friday, May 31, 2013 in Marrakesh, on the sidelines of the AfDB’s Annual Meetings.
31/05/2013 - May 27th 2013 marked the beginning of yet another important relationship between the African Development Bank and The Federal Government of Nigeria. A loan agreement to support the transport sector was signed by the Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo Iweala, and the Resident Representative of the Nigeria Field Office, Ousmane Dore.
