28/03/2013 - In a recent paper produced as part of a series on North African policies, the African Development Bank (AfDB) analyzes the prospects of exporting the health services available in North Africa.
Accelerated growth and job creation pose major challenges for the countries of North Africa (NAF), which are all facing a rapid increase in their workforce. In the Maghreb, the preponderance of the textile-clothing sector and outsourced automobile-related manufacturing in industry, as well the lack of alternative manufacturing specialization largely contribute to fragility.

The object of the conference was to rethink and lay down more efficient reform policies with regard to higher education in order to guarantee the possible employment of young graduates.

14/02/2013 - “Africa is transforming, but the pace of economic transformation can be accelerated,” says the Chief Economist of the African Development Bank (AfDB), Prof. Mthuli Ncube. “How can emerging Africa accelerate its structural transformation and achieve a strong, sustained and inclusive growth?” Ncube asks. The African Development Institute under the Chief Economist Office will on 27 May 2013 in Morocco organize this year’s Bank Group Annual Meetings High-level seminar on the theme: “Africa’s Structural Transformation,” to attempt to answer the above-stated question.

22/11/2012 - Le Groupe de la Banque africaine de développement (BAD) et l'Agence marocaine de l'énergie solaire (MASEN) ont procédé, sous la présence effective du Roi Mohamed VI, le 19 novembre à Rabat, à la signature des accords de prêts et de garanties relatifs au projet de la première phase de la centrale solaire de Ouarzazate. Les accords sont d’un montant de 238,12 millions d’euros, soit un total de 2.7 milliards de dirhams. Ce financement est constitué de 168 millions d’euros provenant des ressources propres de la BAD et d’un prêt concessionnel de 100 millions de dollars du Fonds pour les technologies propres (FTP), dont la BAD est l’agence d’exécution.
