11/12/2013 - The African Water Facility (AWF) has offered the African Ministers Council on Water (AMCOW) a €2 million grant to establish a monitoring and reporting system for the water sector in Africa. The project is in line with the Africa Water Vision call for action for the creation of a sustainable system for monitoring and sharing of information on all aspects of water use in the continent.
06/12/2013 - La Banque africaine de développement (BAD) et le Sénégal ont signé, le 2 décembre 2013 à Dakar, trois accords de prêts et de don, portant sur un total de 23,6 milliards de FCFA. Amadou Ba, ministre sénégalais de l’Economie et des Finances ainsi que gouverneur de la BAD pour le Sénégal, et Leila Mokaddem, représentante résidente de la BAD au Sénégal, ont cosigné lesdits accords.

08/11/2013 - The United Nations Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) announced Wednesday the selection of the Monrovia Fostering Innovative Sanitation and Hygiene (FISH) project as one of the 17 Lighthouse Activities to be showcased at the November 2013 UN Climate Change Conference in Warsaw, Poland.
08/11/2013 - The African Water Facility (AWF) signed a €1 million grant in favour of the Ghanaian NGO Training, Research and Networking for Development (TREND) to support an innovative sanitation scheme. The project, which is a tripartite collaboration among TREND, Safi Sana Ghana Limited and the Ashaiman Municipal Assembly, is designed to turn waste into bio-fertilizer and energy, whilst providing affordable and sustainable sanitation services for the unsewered urban poor communities of Ashaiman district of Accra.
