28/03/2012 - Aquatic plant proliferation is an environmental scourge. These weeds invade waterways and irrigation channels, impeding their economic operation. Fishermen have suffered rising costs, and farmers have to spend more time cleaning their irrigation canals, resulting in lost production and productivity.

29/02/2012 - The African Governance Outlook (AGO), a collaborative initiative between the African Development Bank (AfDB) and the African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF) aims to provide an effective African-based diagnostic tool on financial governance on a regional scale. ACBF has a mandate to develop capacity in Africa across a spectrum of areas including financial management and accountability through good governance.

28/07/2011 - Le Groupe de la Banque africaine de développement (BAD) et le gouvernement du Sénégal viennent de signer un accord de prêt d’un montant de 20,20 milliards de franc CFA (20 million d’unités de comptes) pour financer le programme d’appui aux reformes (PARE), décaissable en deux tranches, soit 75% en 2011 et 25% en 2012.

06/07/2011 - Le Conseil d'administration du Fonds africain de développement (FAD, guichet concessionnel du Groupe de la Banque africaine de développement), a approuvé à Tunis, le mercredi 6 juillet 2011, un don de 27 millions d’UC, équivalent à 43 millions de dollars US, pour le financement du Programme d’appui aux réformes (PARE) en faveur de la République du Sénégal.

The Dakar International Agriculture Forum, which took place from 18-19 April in Senegal, addressed the fundamental issues of global agriculture regulation and governance. The forum, initiated by President Abdoulaye Wade, comes a month before the next G20 meeting. According to its organizers, "the conclusions that emerge from the Forum will form, without doubt, an essential input to the current international negotiations in the G20, led by France.
