18/01/2013 - The Ambassador of the Republic of India to Tunisia, Nagma Mallick, on January 16, 2013 called on the African Development Bank Group and held a meeting with President Donald Kaberuka in Tunis. The meeting revolved around cooperation between the South Asian country and the Bank. Ambassador Mallick expressed satisfaction following her talk with President Kaberuka and her country’s willingness to organize an “India Day” alongside the AfDB’s 2013 Annual Meetings.
17/01/2013 - In his annual statement to ambassadors from the member states of the Bank accredited to Tunisia and representatives of international organizations on Thursday, January 17, 2013 in Tunis, African Development Bank President Donald Kaberuka discussed the Bank’s role in Africa’s economic transformation and signaled future challenges.

11/01/2013 - Organizers, sponsors, partners and beneficiaries of the Souk At-Tanmia (Market for Development) pilot initiative came together on Thursday, January 10 in the Cité des Sciences in Tunis to celebrate the 71 new Tunisian entrepreneurs who have been selected to receive angel financing, technical assistance, coaching and mentoring throughout 2013.

10/01/2013 - “Building a new post-revolutionary Tunisia based on the ideas of young people and the strengthening the spirit of entrepreneurship” is the theme of the announcement ceremony for the beneficiaries of Souk At-tanmia, a recent pilot initiative and partnership in favour of entrepreneurship, economic development and social cohesion and job creation in Tunisia. The ceremony was held today in the auditorium of the Cité des Sciences in Tunis, an iconic symbol that is synonymous with innovation and youth.

03/01/2013 - The African Water Facility (AWF) held its 12th Governing Council meeting on November 22-23, in Tunis. The meeting narrowed in on the progress made on the implementation of the AWF Strategy 2012-2016, adopted late 2011, and on AWF’s overall progress and achievements.

19/12/2012 - Sylvia Apreku’s passion for development policy and planning, as well as project management with a focus on Sub-Saharan Africa attracted her to enroll in the Masters in Development Economics Programme at Dalhousie University in Canada. Since completing Dalhousie University in 2003, she has been involved in various development policy and public sector reform management initiatives aimed at improving public service delivery and contributing towards poverty reduction across Eastern, Southern and Western Africa.
