The African Development Bank and the development communication network (DevCom Network) whose secretariat is hosted by OECD, are organizing the “Tunis Round-Table Conference on Multilateral Aid and the Broad Public: Improving Results Communication” from March 22-23, 2010, in Tunis, Tunisia. The joint initiative aims at improving the practice of communicating on multilateral aid. Over sixty communicators from multilaterals and bilateral donors institutions are expected to attend the event.

We, representatives of selected African Civil Society Organisations met on Monday, 1st March 2010 together with Senior Managers and staff of the African Development Bank, at the Sheraton Hotel in Tunis as part of efforts to define a structured process of engagement between the two parties. The meeting was under the chairmanship of Dr Donald Kaberuka, President of the African Development Bank Group and under the patronage of eminent members of the Coalition for Dialogue on Africa (CODA).

A two-day Board meeting of the Coalition for Dialogue on Africa (CoDA), hosted by the African Development Bank (AfDB), ended on Sunday, February 28, 2010 in Tunis, with the adoption of far reaching-decisions. It was CoDA’s third Board Meeting, after its launch on May 6, 2009 in Addis Ababa and its second Board meeting held on November 28, 2009, in Tunis.
