Objectives

a) To strengthen capacity of the partner implementing agencies; b) To provide access to functional literacy and income generating skills to women (80%) and out-of-school youths; and, c) To ensure their access to micro-credit facilities.


Benefits

Skills training associated with microcredits increase the likelihood that poor women andout-of-school youths will participate in the socio-economic development of their families and their communities; improve their functional literacy and entrepreneurial skills; and their ability to access credit. The project will also be instrumental in reducing illiteracy in the Gambia.
