The project primarily targets the underprivileged and the poor in the hardship areas of Lesotho. It covers the entire territory of Lesotho which is divided into 10 major districts. The main economic activities of the inhabitants range from small holder farming, rearing of cattle and other livestock, especially in the rural areas, to industrial types of activities in urban, semi-urban and peri-urban areas.

The direct beneficiaries will be children, adolescents, the youth of Lesotho attending or about to attend school or ready to receive some form of formal training and adults already participating in the labor market. These direct beneficiaries will be covered nation-wide. Institutions in the education system in Maseru and in the districts will also benefit from the project, especially through training courses and workshops.
