Activities in Gambia
- The African Development Bank Group commenced operations in the Gambia in 1971. So far, in the water and sanitation sector, the Bank has financed 4 operations and 2 studies for over USD 13 million.
- The Bank’s funding in the water and sanitation sector is fully in line with the Gambian Programme for Accelerated and Growth and Employment (PAGE).
- The Bank’s current water portfolio comprises two projects in the Gambia: (i) the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Program, valued at about USD 8 million, and (ii) the Support for National Water Sector Reform Project valued at about USD 3 million.
