Nous espérons bénéficier d’une compréhension mutuelle en vue de renforcer la coopération entre nos deux institutions », a souligné l’hôte de la Banque africaine de développement.

23/02/2012 - On 2-3 April 2012, Burkina Faso, Democratic Republic of Congo and Ghana will join other countries from around the world participating in the Climate Investment Funds’ (CIF) Forest Investment Program (FIP) in Brasilia, Brazil, for their third annual FIP pilot country meeting. As an implementing agent of the CIF, the African Development Bank (AfDB) will also attend.

22/02/2012 - Following the activity of the United Nations Framework for Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP 17) held in Durban, South Africa from 28 November to 10 December 2011, the African Development Bank (AfDB) took a step back to reflect on its role in building capacity for African negotiators and providing technical, legal and communication support for Africa’s shared climate change agenda.

22/02/2012 - At the 18th African Union Summit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on 23-30 January 2012, African leaders endorsed the Africa Consensus Statement to Rio+ 20, marking yet another step toward the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio+ 20) to take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil from 20-22 June 2012. The statement outlines Africa’s key priorities and concerns to be reflected in the outcomes of Rio+ 20 and is the result of many months of collaboration among key stakeholders, including the African Development Bank (AfDB).

28/09/2011 - The African Ministerial Conference on the Environment (AMCEN) held its fourth special session in Bamako, Mali on 15-16 September 2011 to discuss and consolidate the common African negotiating position on a comprehensive climate change regime beyond 2012. They also worked to prepare for the Rio+20 Sustainable Development Conference to take place in June 2012. The African Development Bank (AfDB) consulted on its draft report on the Africa Green Fund as mandated by the African Union Summit of July 2011.

09/06/2011 - The African Development Bank (AfDB) Group on Wednesday in Lisbon signed two major cooperation agreements with China and Brazil for the funding of projects and programs in AfDB´s regional member countries.
11/05/2011 - Selon la BAD, le groupe, qui comprenait le Brésil, la Russie, l'Inde et la Chine, pendant la période couverte par le rapport (l’Afrique du Sud les a rejoints en 2011), est attiré vers la région par un besoin croissant de matières premières et de minéraux, un climat de réglementation et d’investissement favorable, une population relativement importante et du produit intérieur brut (PIB) global, des faibles coûts des salaires et de production, ainsi que de la proximité géographique avec l’Europe et le Moyen-Orient.
