23/04/2012 - On 2 and 3 April 2012, Burkina Faso, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Ghana joined other countries from around the world participating in the Forest Investment Program (FIP) in Brasilia, Brazil, for their third annual FIP pilot countries meeting. They shared innovations in investments to reduce emissions from deforestation and forest degradation (REDD+) and discussed working with private sector, indigenous peoples and local communities.

20/04/2012 - La Banque africaine de développement (BAD) annonce l’ouverture d’un nouvel appel à propositions du fonds Migration et développement (FMD). Ce deuxième appel, ouvert du 15 avril au 31 mai 2012, cible les porteurs de projet établis en Afrique centrale et dans l’océan Indien.

23/02/2012 - On 2-3 April 2012, Burkina Faso, Democratic Republic of Congo and Ghana will join other countries from around the world participating in the Climate Investment Funds’ (CIF) Forest Investment Program (FIP) in Brasilia, Brazil, for their third annual FIP pilot country meeting. As an implementing agent of the CIF, the African Development Bank (AfDB) will also attend.

23/11/2011 - In the coming year, pilot countries of the Climate Investment Fund’s (CIF) “Forest Investment Program” (FIP), including Burkina Faso, Ghana and the Democratic Republic of Congo, can expect to see additional support for their REDD+ activities in the form of a Dedicated Grant Mechanism for Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities. The proposed design of the mechanism was approved by the FIP Trust Fund Committee at the CIF Governing Bodies Meetings from 31 October to 4 November 2011 in Washington, D.C.

11/11/2011 - Agriculture has been identified as a priority sector for economic growth and poverty reduction in the Democratic Republic of Congo. To this effect, a grant for a Rural Infrastructure Development Support Project approved on 11 November 2011 in Tunis by the Board of Directors of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group, will enhance the government’s effort to improve food security and poverty reduction.

28/04/2011 - Le Conseil d’administration du Groupe de la Banque africaine de développement (BAD) a approuvé, mercredi 27 avril 2011, le Document de stratégie régionale 2011-2015 pour l’Afrique centrale. Cette stratégie vise à réduire la pauvreté grâce au développement des infrastructures et au renforcement des capacités institutionnelles et humaines.

08/04/2011 - Le Conseil d’administration du Groupe de la Banque africaine de développement (BAD) a conclu, lors de sa séance de ce jour, que la République démocratique du Congo (RDC) a rempli les conditions et les exigences requises pour bénéficier d’un allègement irrévocable de sa dette dans le cadre de l’Initiative en faveur des pays pauvres très endettés (PPTE).
