21/03/2012 - The African Development Bank (AfDB) will host the Friends of Zimbabwe Roundtable, to discuss economic and political developments in the country on 23 March. The meeting will also focus on the prospects of dealing with the country's external debt arreears. The presentation of the Zimbabwe Accelerated Arrears, Debt and Development Strategy (ZAADDS) is a useful framework to address the issue of Zimbabwe’s external debt.

05/02/2010 - The AfDB Zambia Country Office Resident Representative, Freddie Kwesiga, joined by the Ambassador of Finland to Zambia, Her Excellency, Mrs. Antila Sinikka and Mr. Abednego Banda, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperative, on Tuesday 26 January 2010, toured two sites of past and on-going Bank funded Irrigation Projects in Mazabuka in southern Zambia.

21/10/2009 - Le président Kaberuka s’est adressé à Helsinki, Finlande, le mardi 20 octobre 2009, aux plénipotentiaires du FAD, dans le cadre de la revue à mi-parcours du Fonds africain de développement (FAD-11). A cette occasion, M. Kaberuka a déclaré que la revue à mi-parcours se tient à un moment crucial pour l’Afrique, la Banque et le Fonds. Il a fait remarquer que «ce qui a commencé comme une crise financière au cœur de l’économie mondiale s’est mué en crise économique pour nombre de pays africains ».
