09/01/2009 - The protocol agreement on a grant to finance the livestock and horticulture development project which was approved by the African Development Fund (ADF) Board of Directors on the December 26, 2008, was signed on Friday in Banjul, The Gambia. The agreement was signed for the country by its Finance and Economic Affairs Secretary of State, Mousa Gibril Bala-Gaye, and AfDB’s Regional Resident Representative in Senegal, Mohamed H’Midouche. The signing ceremony was witnessed by Serign Cham, Permanent Secretary at the Department of State for Finance and Economic Affairs, Bakary Trawally, Permanent Secretary at the Department of State for Agriculture, and Issaka Zampaligre, Legal Adviser.

05/08/2008 - The African Development Bank (AfDB) Group and the West African Monetary Institute (WAMI) on Monday, in Tunis, signed a grant agreement of 14 million Units of Account (UA*), equivalent to US$ 23 million, to finance the West African Monetary Zone Payment System Development project, which aims at creating a single currency in the sub-region by standardizing the payment systems in The Gambia, Guinea and Sierra Leone.

19/05/2005 - Abuja, 19 May 2005 – On the fringes of the ADB Group Annual Meetings 2005 in Nigeria, the Acting Vice President for the West and Central operations of the ADB Group, Mr. Jaouad Mohammed Gharbi and the Secretary of State for Finance and Economic Affairs, Mrs. Margaret A.A Keita, signed in Abuja the loan and grant agreements for the amount of 5 million Units of Account (UA*) (about US$ 7.5 million) and the amount of UA 500, 000 (About US$ 760, 000), respectively, to finance the Farmer Managed Rice Irrigation Project (ASREP).
