23/11/2011 - In the coming year, pilot countries of the Climate Investment Fund’s (CIF) “Forest Investment Program” (FIP), including Burkina Faso, Ghana and the Democratic Republic of Congo, can expect to see additional support for their REDD+ activities in the form of a Dedicated Grant Mechanism for Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities. The proposed design of the mechanism was approved by the FIP Trust Fund Committee at the CIF Governing Bodies Meetings from 31 October to 4 November 2011 in Washington, D.C.

13/07/2011 - Le conseil d'administration du Fonds africain de développement (FAD, guichet concessionnel du Groupe de la BAD) a approuvé aujourd'hui, à Tunis, un prêt équivalent à 70 millions de dollars E.U et un don de 41,3 millions de dollars E.U. pour financer le Programme de réduction de la pauvreté et de soutien à l’environnement des entreprises (PRBESP) au Ghana.

30/03/2011 - Ghana’s President John Atta-Mills on Tuesday, 29 March 2011 in Accra, cut the sod for the beginning of the Awoshie-Pokuase road and community development project. The project, which was approved by the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group Board in 2009, involves constructing the 15 km road north-west of Accra. The civil works include secondary roads, and key community-upgrading infrastructure such as drainage, markets, water supply, schools, health centers and lorry parks.

02/07/2010 - Ce don vise à financer un projet qui introduira un marché et une approche axée sur la planification par les utilisateurs, en comblant l’écart entre l’eau et les nutriments, méthode appelée la «conception pour la réutilisation». Ceci qui permettra de bien cerner la valeur économique des eaux usées et des nutriments pour aider à financer, faire opérer, et entretenir les stations de traitement.

18/05/2010 - Since the Bank Group commenced operations in Ghana in 1973, it has invested over USD 1.6 billion on concessionary terms in all sectors of the country’s economy. In the transport sector, the Bank has financed four road studies, eight road projects, one railway project, and one Multinational road project (UEMOA-Ghana Road Program I) for a total amount close to USD 400 million.

19/03/2010 - Dans cette interview, Mamadou Lamine N’Dongo, économiste au département Assurance qualité et contrôle de qualité, BAD, explique comment le portefeuille du Groupe de la Banque est caractérisé par des retards importants, tant au niveau de la réalisation du premier décaissement des prêts et dons qu’au niveau de l’exécution des opérations sur le terrain. Aux termes de trois jours de travaux, qui ont mobilisé des chargés d’opérations de cinq pays pilotes, sur la mise en œuvre des projets axée sur les résultats rapides, «nous sommes parvenus à des résultats vitaux dans l’accomplissement de la mission de la Banque », estime-t-il.
