26/09/2016 - On Friday, September 23, 2016, the African Development Bank’s Executive Director (ED) for Sudan, Kwabena Boadu Oku-Afari, concluded a three-day familiarization mission to Sudan. ED Oku-Afari represents a constituency of five countries at the Bank, comprising Sudan, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ghana and Gambia. This mission sought to acquaint him with firsthand knowledge of developments in Sudan as well as the state of the Bank’s development operations in the country.

16/09/2016 - “I no longer need to waste hours fetching water. I have more time to help my husband with our cattle – which was quite difficult without access to clean water. It’s such a relief,” Zuena, a farmer from Machui, said of the African Development Bank’s Zanzibar Water and Sanitation Project, completed in 2015. Her household recently benefited from the Machui project. “It has changed our lives,” she said.
