23/05/2013 - The Board of Directors of the African Development Bank (AfDB) approved on Tuesday, May 22, a USD 100 million unfunded Risk Participation Agreement (RPA) between the AfDB and Commerzbank AG under which the two banks will share the default risk on a portfolio of qualifying trade transactions originated by issuing banks in Africa and confirmed by Commerzbank AG.

20/05/2013 - The Electricity Authority of Benin–Nigerian Electric Power Authority power interconnection project, jointly financed by the African Development Bank, the West African Development Bank, and the Economic Community of West African States, is one of the sparkling flagship projects for regional integration and cooperation in West Africa. Financed under the West Africa Power Pool program, the project connects Benin’s power grid (CEB) to that of Nigeria (NEPA). Since its completion in 2007, like a beacon, the project has broken dawn, lighting up vast areas of rural communities that were once in economic darkness.

26/03/2013 - A new policy paper by the African Development Bank carries the importance of trade integration to macroeconomic convergence. Published in March 2013, the report titled “Supporting Macroeconomic Convergence in African regional economic communities” recommends to link the roadmap in the implementation of macroeconomic convergence to progress made in trade integration.

18/03/2013 - La Revue sur l’efficacité du développement est une série de publications examinant la contribution de la Banque africaine de développement (dite la « BAD » ou la « Banque ») aux résultats en matière de développement en Afrique. Depuis la première Revue annuelle sur l’efficacité du développement, publiée en 2011, cette série participe à l’exigence de transparence de la BAD et à son obligation de rendre compte auprès de ses pays membres et des différentes parties prenantes. Elle permet également de s’assurer que nos opérations ne cessent de s’améliorer. En 2012, nous avons publié une série de numéros examinant certains aspects du portefeuille de la BAD, notamment les États fragiles, la gouvernance, l’intégration régionale et le programme pays de la Banque au Rwanda.

01/03/2013 - Le président de la Banque africaine de développement (BAD), Donald Kaberuka, a été reçu en audience par le président ivoirien, Alassane Ouattara, le 28 février à Yamoussoukro. La rencontre s’est tenue en marge de la 42e session des Chefs d’Etats de la Communauté économique des Etats de l’Afrique de l’Ouest (CEDEAO), au lendemain du Conseil d’administration de la BAD qui a eu lieu à Abidjan.
