The Plenary Sessions will focus on issues relating to Africa’s Economic Growth and will discuss topics including the Challenges of Africa’s Growth Environment, and Opportunities and Constraints to Growth in the continent. Another area of focus in the Plenary Sessions will be Africa’s Trade Environment, looking at issues including Export supply constraints; and the lessons from Asia’s experience.
The second component of the Conference will be the concurrent thematic sessions to focus on themes pertinent to Africa’s growth and development. These will address highly topical and current policy issues. Four thematic areas will be covered with sub-themes as follows:
For each of the selected sub-themes renowned specialist will present papers for discussion, with the objective of informing the Bank and participants of the current state of affairs as well as generating results for use by policy analysts and policy makers.
